Break the Dam

It's been a weird couple of weeks (months? years?), and I have found a lot of comfort and ease in writing poetry instead of the normal weekly recaps. I promise I will get back to those, but bear with me for a couple of days, because I'd love for you to join with me in this prayer for a city and other thoughts that make more sense in poetic language than the occasionally clumsy words of discourse.

Fear has no place here.

Break it down.

Replace it with the rushing peace of your refreshing comfort.

Doubt has no place here.

Break it down.

Replace it with roaring assurance of your absolute confidence.

Hate has no place here.

Break it down.

Replace it with raging floods of your overwhelming love.

Anger has no place here.

Break it down.

Replace it with refreshing waves of your calming patience.

Desperation has no place here.

Break it down.

Replace it with reassuring streams of your righteous passion.

Fury and chaos have no place here.

Break it down.

Replace it with Rest.
