Day 33 of 40 Days of Prayer
For those of you praying along with me for miracles these forty days, please read aloud this Psalm with my name and ask God to reveal new feeling and function in my body.
Psalm 116 (NIV)
1 Laura loves the Lord, for she heard his voice;
he heard Laura’s cry for mercy.
2 Because he turned his ear to Laura,
she will call on him as long as she lives.
3 The cords of death entangled Laura,
the anguish of the grave came over her; Laura was overcome by distress and sorrow.
4 Then Laura called on the name of the Lord:
“Lord, save Laura!”
5 The Lord is gracious and righteous; her God is full of compassion.
6 The Lord protects the unwary;
when Laura was brought low, he saved her.
7 Laura, return to your rest, my soul,
for the Lord has been good to her.
8 For you, Lord, have delivered Laura from death,
her eyes from tears, her feet from stumbling,
9 that she may walk before the Lord
in the land of the living.
10 Laura trusted in the Lord when she said,
“I am greatly afflicted”;
11 in Laura’s alarm has said,
“Everyone is a liar.”
12 What shall Laura return to the Lord
for all his goodness to her?
13 Laura will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord.
14 Laura will fulfill her vows to the Lord
in the presence of all her people.
15 Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his faithful servants.
16 Truly Laura’s your servant, Lord;
Laura serves you just as her mother did; you have freed Laura from her chains.
17 Laura will sacrifice a thank offering to you
and call on the name of the Lord.
18 Laura will fulfill her vows to the Lord
in the presence of all her people,
19 in the courts of the house of the Lord— in your midst, Jerusalem. Laura Praise the Lord.
